Zak is a versatile producer, songwriter, and storyteller with the unique capacity to craft music that precisely complements the narrative essence of any given story

While his compositions primarily reside within the electronic genre, he also incorporates elements of psychedelic rock, disco, ambient, experimental, techno, tech-house and deep house.

His collaborative endeavors extend across borders, working alongside international vocalists and songwriters. Additionally, he has garnered recognition for his work in producing music for Paddy Doyle’s acclaimed travel show, “Searching Paradise In The Philippines.”

Zak studied at the Australian Institute of Music, where he successfully completed his Bachelor of Composition and Music Production in 2020. During his time there, he crafted compositions for an array of mediums, including film, television, and radio. Following the completion of his degree, Zak launched “Open Eye Studios,” a recording space where he consistently worked on recording and producing tracks for Australian-based vocalists and artists. His collaborations, notably with artists such as Luke Vecchio from Melbourne, have resulted in remixed tracks gracing some of Australia’s most prominent stages, including Strawberry Fields in 2021.

In addition to his music productions, Zak is a prolific author of music video scripts and meticulous shot lists, catering to his own projects as well as those of fellow artists. His music videos are known for having rich layers of profound messaging, and often conclude with a tantalising twist.

At present, Zak is deeply engaged in the recording process of his debut album for his new project, “Locian.” The album narrates the odyssey of its protagonist, “Ordell,” as he delves into his subconscious to encounter archetypes, alter egos, and his shadow self. The overarching purpose is to confront and release deep-seated fears and subconscious beliefs. The music is introspective and complex, featuring heavy use of intricate guitar lines, edgy synths, and stacked soft sung vocal harmonies and melodies.
